Welcome to the Local Site for North Ayrshire and Inverclyde.
North Ayrshire and Inverclyde form a picturesque region on the west coast of Scotland, south of the Firth of Clyde. The coast has stunning views to the Islands of Arran, Bute and Cumbrae, all of which make for superb day trips by Caledonian MacBrayne ferry, with highlights including Brodick Castle on Arran and the watersports centre on Cumbrae. Enjoy classes and activities at the Harbour Arts Centre in Irvine and the Beacon Arts Centre in Greenock. Other family days out could include the Maritime Museum, Kelburn Country Park with its famed Secret Forest, Eglinton Park or the gorgeous heated lido in Gourock. Inland the huge Clyde Muirshiel Regional Park is well worth a visit in any season. Many of the small towns and villages of the area have thriving independent family friendly businesses and shops and are well connected by road and rail.
