Lots of hands on activities at this local history museum. The museum tells the tale of Harrogate's as a premier spa town in the 19th and early 20th centuries welcoming rich and famous visitors from across Europe. Discover the different treatments available, the beautiful spa buildings of the town and Harrogate's connection to Russian royalty. Investigate Ancient Egypt in our hands-on display area. You can dress up as an Egyptian, write in hieroglyphics, make jewellery and play scientist with our investigate box. In 2014 enjoy Greek and Cypriot pottery, costume from the 20th century and from Agatha Christie films and TV shows, jewellery, cycling history,and World War I.
