An installation project by Tom Hackett
A major new artwork, developed in reaction to the artist's collection of found single jelly shoes. The exhibition features over 1000 hand-made replica pink jelly
shoes formed into a large circular floor sculpture. The
installation playfully explores the relationship between the idea of an artist as an ‘author of one off works' and Northampton's place in making shoes on an industrial scale. This project continues Hackett's fascination with elevating the ordinary and everyday, in order to encourage a fresh look at the familiar things that surround us.
9 February 1pm – 2pm
Visitors can also come and meet the artist to find out more about his work.
