Young Archaeologists' Club

Nottingham Young Archaeologists' Club is open to everyone aged 8–16 years. YAC clubs get involved in all sorts of activities, including visiting and investigating archaeological sites and historic places, visiting local museums, trying out traditional crafts, taking part in excavations, and lots more.

We are based at the University of Nottingham Museum and we will usually meet once a month on a Saturday. Nottingham YAC is jointly run by the University of Nottingham Museum, Nottingham Lakeside Arts, Helen Bowen (The Lapsed Archaeologist), Trent & Peak Archaeology, the Galleries of Justice and the City of Caves.

    I really like coming to YAC as I can touch things from history. I like to imagine what it would have been like to live all those years ago, before they had TV and xboxes. I have made new friends and think history is FAB! (P, 11)
