Explore the Divinity School, built in 1488 for the teaching of theology. With its elaborately vaulted ceiling and its 455 carved bosses, it is a masterpiece of English Gothic architecture.
This splendid room is the University's earliest purpose built teaching room, and its first examination hall. You may take photographs as a memento of your visit.
The ticket office opens at 9am Monday to Saturday, and 11am on Sundays. It is situated at the Great Gate to the Bodleian Library, on Catte Street
Please note that admission to the Divinity School is not possible on days when University functions are held, and you are strongly advised to telephone in advance of your visit to avoid disappointment.
