104 Cowley Road, Oxford, OX4 1JE
All three G&D's cafés are family-friendly from open to close. We open our doors at 8am every morning and close again at midnight – and in school holidays, families often come in for late-night treats, particularly at our Cowley Road café.
The Cowley Road café boasts plenty of room for buggies, comfy sofas for parents and children alike, baby changing facilities in our spacious loo, and a book box including children's books for those who enjoy a read while sipping one of our hot drinks or devouring an ice cream. We are a popular venue for parents with little ones and we love the sound of children's chatter and patter on weekdays as well as weekends. Our staff are accommodating, so please ask if your child would or would not like something specific – we can make even the strangest request possible!
We, of course, welcome breast feeding at all of our cafés.
Local Editor Review:
Unfortunately a very grouchy toddler meant we only had time for a flying visit to the Little Clarendon St branch of G&Ds. It was cosy and friendly, though that particular branch could probably only accommodate a limited number of buggies so we wouldn't recommend it for a mass-mum-and-baby invasion (perhaps the Cowley St branch would be better for this?), but the service was warm, the food was tempting and we have definite plans to return and test it out more thoroughly. Mr Mumsnet-Oxford says he would definitely recommend the Dime Bar cookies!
