Louise Beland Osteopath

From the moment that you discover that you are pregnant, your body will undergo dramatic and rapid changes influenced by your growing baby. As the baby grows above the level of your pelvis you will naturally adjust your posture to maintain balance.

However, as you do so certain areas of your neck, back and pelvis come under strain. Some women find that the hormones released during pregnancy can create Pelvic Girdle Pain (previously SPD).

Louise has developed some lovely muscle stretching and joint articulation techniques to help ease the strains within your body. Most of these techniques will be done with you lying on your side for your comfort and safety. Louise will never treat pregnant mums on their tummy, and would only have you lying on your back for a short while, if needed and if comfortable and safe for you to do so.
