The Pump House

The Pump House is an independent café/bistro serving freshly-made food. We bake our own cakes and bread on the premises (you can watch us in the open kitchen) and there's always a homemade soup on the go. Our seasonal menu changes daily. In the winter the focus is on hearty, comforting dishes while in the summer you'll find plenty of salads, quiches and tarts. We use as much locally-grown produce as possible and all our eggs are local and free-range.

Our coffee is roasted by Winchester Coffee Roasters and we grind it to order for you. Your youngsters can play along with a babycino. We have a range of teas and hot chocolate.

Outside on the sunny terrace our planters are filled with vegetables and salads through the summer months and we love getting kids to help us pull up carrots and pick tomatoes, or spot the red ones as they start to ripen.

The Pump House is a Grade II listed building, part of the Royal Clarence Yard complex which once fed, watered and clothed the ships of the Royal Navy.

There is plenty of free parking (4-hour limit) and it is a great place to start, finish, or re-fuel during a walk along Gosport's historic waterfront.

We're open Monday to Saturday 9am-4pm.
