disabled access

Avenham and Miller Parks are adjoining Parks that lie in the picturesque Avenham valley close to Preston city centre. Even though the Parks are close to Preston's main shopping and businesses area, their tranquil setting on the banks of the River Ribble offers a pleasant retreat from the hustle and bustle of city life.

Avenham and Miller Parks are located in the heart of the city centre, less than 5 minutes walk from the railway station and only 10 minutes from the bus station.

Avenham Park has a playground, Japanese gardens and a cafe. The park hosts regular events.

A lovely park, plenty of nice walks, a playground, cafe and gardens. Be aware that it is very hilly in parts - it is mostly accessible to prams and wheelchairs but some routes are very steep. Easter egg rolling is a fabulous annual event that locals have enjoyed for decades.
