Peppa fans will LOVE this. The show is loosely based on events from various episodes, which made my two (3yo and 20mo) light up when they recognised. The character puppets were adorable and the puppeteers and actors were hugely engaging with plenty of audience participation. Despite being theatre novices, both of my two children were soon singing, dancing and, yes, screaming along on cue.
The show lasted approx 35 mins before the interval and another 35 mins after, which was perfect for holding the attention of the audience of largely pre-schoolers.
Outside, merchandise was mercifully not-extortionately priced (e.g. £9 for a cuddly Mr Dinosaur or Peppa's teddy) and there were free stickers and posters.
The only extra thing the show could have included to get the full five stars from me would be the parent-friendly humour and nuances that endear the TV show to grown-ups.
My two loved it and I'd recommend it - but take a waterproof if you're in the first few rows; it's not called Peppa's Big Splash for nothing...
