Do you, or someone you know, have a Colostomy, Ileostomy or Urostomy? It's easy to feel isolated when living with a stoma, but two local support groups aim to provide information and a social network.

The groups have been established since 2005 for ostomates. They are non-medical groups whose objective is to provide a social atmosphere where colostomates / ileostomates and urostomates and their partner/friend can meet and share experiences and problems.

The West Berkshire Group meets every quarter, on a Wednesday from 11am-1pm, at Greyfriars Church, Friar Street, Reading.

Although these are non-medical groups, the meetings are often visited by manufacturers of Ostomy products, who display samples of their product range.
The meetings are informal and friendly with refreshments provided.
