Reading wide

Mumsnetters are invited to the British Franchise Association's ‘Women in Franchising' event on 17 November 2016 at Wokefield Park, Reading. Women from all business backgrounds, those who own, run or work in a franchise and those who want to know more about franchising, are invited to attend the full-day event.
Topics covered will include: ‘How to engage an audience and ensure traffic flows to your website'. ‘How to empower your franchise team' from multi- award winning franchisor Rachel Ray, founder of the £5m turnover domestic cleaning franchise, Bright & Beautiful. ‘How to decode body language' and ‘How to deal with assertive personalities'. The keynote speaker will be ex RAF fast jet pilot Mandy Hickson.

Bfa chief executive Pip Wilkins said, ‘15.5% of all businesses are owned or run by women. In franchising that figure is doubled to 30%. ‘We hope women who have maybe thought ‘one day I'll franchise my hairdressers/dog walking business/cleaning business/accountancy, will come along and meet us and find out a bit more about this little-known, sector where women and their businesses thrive.'
