Mapledurham is a quiet, rural village on the river Thames, hidden away down a steep, narrow lane. The village formed part of the landscape of The Wind in the Willows, and if you visit you can appreciate how extraordinarily well author Kenneth Grahame has captured the essence and feel of the place.
Dogs of the well behaved and on-the leash variety are welcome away from dining areas.
A lovely family friendly pub, with children's menu and colouring packs indoors. Outdoors boasts a tractor and climbing frame for the energetic children! On a cold day there are even marshmallows available to toast on the open fire.
