Tickets for Charlie and Lola were present for my daughter's birthday, and went to see the play from St John's Wood.It was well worth it,Polka theatre itself is so lovely place for kids with so much things to do.My daughter loved it and was so excited. Now I am planning to take her to Polka for a every new show.
We went to Polka theatre to see the show "Charlie and Lola" with my three year old daughter. She was really excited about it and could not wait for the day to come. On the day she woke up and was ready to go by 6.30 a.m. that is how much she was looking forward to it. We arrived earlier as we know Polka Theatre has loads of things to get children busy before and after the show. And of course my one did not want to miss out on riding the horses, rocking on boats, stepping on Charlie & Lola books (makes a great photo), dressing up and putting a puppet show. All of these are ready in the hall for them to get busy, while parents can park their prams or scooters indoors (the premises have loads of space) and take the kids to the loos (so child friendly with potties and steps).
We got the programs for the show at the entry and it had loads of activities in it too. So the kids could do some colouring in during the interval. Once at a show I really did not know what to expect. As Charlie & Lola are the cartoon characters and how they would be brought to life. One should not underestimate how kids are able to notice the littlest of details. They expect real characters they are in love with and I can say for sure âPolka Theatreâ delivered on that. The performance was breath taking from the start to the end. There were so many unexpected surprises that got even us adults all excited about the show. The kids were so engaged and the effects made it a real spectacular show. Neither us parents nor kids knew about them, so once we started immersing to the magic world of âCharlie and Lolaâ we really felt part of a dreamland that can only exist in innocent childâs imagination! During the interval we got some pink milk, which was obviously popular and after the show we had a snack at the café. I forgot to bring more cash, as the café only takes cash. Of course we had to play in an outside playground before going back home with a happy contented child who kept claiming: âThis is the best show ever ever ever!â Since we have been in more shows of favourite kids channel productions, but she still thinks they were not as spectacular as âCharlie and Lolaâ. So if you ever have chance of taking your kids elsewhere this is the place to go and show to see. Truly, extremely, unexpectedly spectacular for big and small!
Me and my 3 years old son went to the show "egg" in the Polka theatre. The show was excellent. the kids have the chance to play there too. There is a nice corner with costumes for dressing up and the idea with trains being places to sit is a great idea and exciting for children. Very recommendable!
