Heeley City Farm is a unique and diverse charitable organisation in the Heeley area of Sheffield. As well as our 4 acre mini Rare Breeds farm which is open to the public, we have many different projects across Sheffield. We provide training for young people from inner city schools and adults with learning difficulties and disabilities, schemes for the reduction of fuel poverty amongst the elderly and young families, schemes for mental health service users, conservation, alternative energy sources, forest schools, heritage, community allotments and local food growing on several sites including Wortley Hall Kitchen Garden. We also have a peat free Garden Centre and the Farm Kitchen, a vegetarian & vegan community café. We employ 28 members of staff, many of whom live locally, and we also provide hundreds of volunteers with work experience opportunities every year.
