Southwark

Southwark is a kid's paradise… an area full of lots of contrasting pockets which give it a friendly, almost villagey feel, but with all the facilities, transport links and cosmopolitan buzz of a vibrant London community.

From the banks of the majestic river Thames in zone 1 to the borders of Croydon and Bromley at its southern border, Southwark is one of London's most exciting areas for families to live in and discover.

Whether it's the sedate Dulwich Village, full of coffee shops and boutiques, and with its glorious park, (complete with bikes for hire, a picturesque boating lake and popular kid friendly café) or the buzz of East Dulwich with its refurbished swimming pool, lively market and quirky shops, or the soft play area in Peckham - there is lots to do come rain or shine.

This region boasts some of London's main attractions - Borough is home to London's most loved gastro market which is a taste sensation for junior gourmets, and Tate Modern is perfect for inspiring would-be Picassos, with art backpacks offered at weekends and during school holidays.

But it's not all about being urban. The Surrey Docks City Farm brings the country to Rotherhithe and the woods of Dulwich and the huge Peckham Rye park offer lots of outdoor energy burning fun!
