Community wildlife volunteers needed

Staffordshire Wildlife Trust is giving local people the chance to help create a new wildlife haven in Hednesford.

The Trust is appealing for volunteers to get involved in weekly sessions helping to build a community wildlife garden.

The Trust will be creating a daffodil and bluebell meadow as well as a new sensory garden thanks to funding from the Big Lottery Fund's Awards for All programme.

The flowers we will be planting will provide food for a host of insects and butterflies, which in turn will attract a range of birds and small mammals to the church grounds."

The four weekly sessions start on Tuesday 14 Jan at 10am.
