Happy Valley is a designated nature reserve that is home to a wide variety of habitats and wildlife.
Parts of the woodland found within the site are considered as ancient woodland and they contain species which reflect this, such as bluebells which provide a wonderful blanket of colour in the spring.
The stream, Lady Brook, flows through the site and provides an interesting contrast to the surrounding environment. This range of habitats provides a good opportunity for the public to enjoy wildlife, within a largely urban environment.
From Bramhall Village centre, follow the directions for Stockport. Turn right at the large roundabout, towards Hazel Grove. Take the first turning on the right – Valley Road - the Womanscroft entrance is on your left as you turn the corner. There is limited parking at this entrance.
