Bury St Edmunds Womens Aid Centre (the Refuge) was established in 1974 to provide safety and support for women and children experiencing Domestic Abuse.

The Refuge has living accommodation for up to 23 bed spaces. We offer temporary accommodation in a safe and supportive refuge where women and their children can recover from the traumatic effects of domestic violence and make informed choices. We also offer a range of community services, courses and counselling to support women to rebuild their lives after abuse.
Our six staff will support you from your very first contact to a safer, happier life. This will continue for as long as you need.
