Old Woodshed, High House Fruit Farm, Sudbourne, IP12
We're a tiny artisan confectionery business in the Suffolk countryside.
Our key ingredient is the honey we collect, along with other local beekeepers, from bees kept on the Suffolk coast. And our aim is to make the best chocolates possible from fresh ingredients we can either produce ourselves, buy from other local smallholders or harvest from the countryside around us. Chocolate, of course, can't be grown locally. So we buy in the best couverture we can find, and our dark chocolates are never less than 70 per cent cocoa content.
Our chocolates don't contain any artificial flavourings or preservatives because they don't need them - they're on sale within hours of being made, and they don't hang around for long.
The caramels are selling at two local outlets - Lawson's Delicatessen, Aldeburgh and Pump Street Bakery, Orford – and at the Snape Maltings Farmers' Market.
