RSPB Minsmere nature reserve

disabled access

New home of BBC Springwatch, RSPB Minsmere is a great family day out and venue for parties. The paths are mostly pushchair friendly, taking you through woodland, wetland & shingle beach with stunning views of the gorgeous countryside. In the Wild Zone children can discover how some of Minsmere's wildlife lives and have fun playing in our child-sized sand martin tunnels and bittern nest, or build a den. Additional activities take place during school holidays (see web for details). Children may also like to borrow an Explorer backpack, complete with binoculars, bugbox and magnifying lens, for self guided exploration. Wildlife varies throughout the year, but there's always something to see. The Discovery Centre can be booked for schools, birthday parties and groups. The cafe serves delicious home-cooked food using locally-sourced produce, including children's portions. Visit the RSPB shop.
