Baylham House Rare Breeds Farm

disabled access

A working livestock farm, breeding a range of friendly, rare breed farm animals. Located in the valley of the river Gipping which flows through the farm. Every child gets a free bag of food to feed the animals they will meet whilst wandering around the pens and paddocks. During the February half-term and also the Easter holidays the 60 or so breeding ewes at Baylham House will be lambing indoors in the lambing tunnel. Come and have a cuddle. Maybe see one born. Lovely riverside and lakeside walks. Gift shop and a café serving delicious home-made cakes and light lunches. Mums seem to favour the Suffolk clotted cream teas with home-made scones and strawberry jam. Good range of hot and cold drinks and ice-creams. Baby changing facilities. Wheelchair friendly.
