Polesden Lacey

Surrounded by breathtaking views of the Surrey Hills, Polesden Lacey, only four miles from Dorking and junction 9 of the M25, is the ideal space for relaxing with friends and family.

Mrs Greville, an ambitious Edwardian hostess, chose Polesden as the idea place for entertaining and relaxing with friends, such as King George VI and the Queen Mother. And this is what we invite you to do with us, 100 years on.

The gardens offer something for every season, and to help you enjoy the countryside, we have geocaching and waymarked walks. The house with its rich collection of art and stories provides a fascinating insight into the Edwardian era.

The popular restaurant and coffee shop serve a variety of fresh, homemade food including cakes and other treats, and our shop, one of the largest in the National Trust, sells a wide range of gifts, home accessories and more.
