Pregnancy yoga is a blend of specially adapted yoga asana (stretches), pranayama (breathing exercises) and meditation, which doesn't require previous experience of yoga, and is suitable from the beginning of the second trimester (after the first scan) right up until the birth. These classes will help you to embrace the physical changes of pregnancy, and will strengthen and condition the body for birth and beyond. Alongside these physical benefits, you'll also be shown techniques to calm the mind and bond with your baby. If you've experienced any complications with your pregnancy it is recommended that you consult your GP or midwife before attending.
