The York Hall is a health and leisure centre and one of Britain's most famous boxing venues, "voted the 6th best boxing venue in the world."

Opened in 1929 and refurbished a few years ago, the Hall still stages many boxing matches, but it's also known among locals for the gym and swimming pools.

Besides the gym any member can use freely (and if you are under the program Jump Start (by GP referral), there are group classes as Aerobiking, Yoga, Power Pump, Boxfit, Cardio Blast, Step, Pilates, Salsa and Dance aerobics, among others.

It offers a créche for parents that must take their kids while going to gim classes.

The historic Turkish Bath or banya that existed in the basement was re-branded as "Spa London" in July 2007 and now offers over 50 treatments including massage, body wraps, facials or finishing touches (for more information, visit:
