Taking 2 artists and 2 local primary schools with children from 2 different year groups, we present a collaborative exhibition of art rarely seen outside of the school context. Here, in the East-End, we reveal the ingenuity, tenacity and freshness of children's sharp-eyed creativity.
Each of the 2 schools has used a different topic as inspiration.
Year 3 children from Harry Gosling school visited the National Gallery and saw paintings they saw told stories using pictures and pattern rather than words. These stories included Medieval life, knights and dragons, heraldry and pageantry, which inspired thier work.
William Davis Year 5 children were looking at the theme of migration and the history of Tower Hamlets's shifting populations. Year 5 have also looked back to the Victorian age.
