Stepney City Farm is "a working farm, rural crafts centre and community hub", as they say themselves.
There you can meet farm animals (cattle and sheep to the rather less traditional guinea pigs and even boa constrictor!), learn how to grow food and try out arts and crafts.
Their aim is to "reflect sustainable mixed farming, not the industrial farms that now dominate agriculture." And as a working farm, and "not a petting zoo", they breed animals for sale "at market, to breeders or for meat."
The farm also offers animal care, gardening, permaculture sessions and spaces, learning activities for schools, special events and play days for children and families, arts and crafts, and can be hired for children's birthday parties.
Times and prices are subject to change. Contact venue before setting out.
