Real Nappies for London scheme

Tower Hamlets wide

This scheme wants to help London parents "find out about alternatives to disposable nappies" through activities and workshops where parents can learn all about the different types of real nappies, how to use them, what are the benefits and where to buy them.

A disposable nappy takes over 200 years to degrade and 90% end up in landfill, so the economic and environmental costs of disposable nappies' waste has become a global headache.

Some boroughs like Tower Hamlets offer a voucher to help with the cost of buying the first set of nappies.
