This restaurant by acclaimed Portuguese chef Nuno Mendes is comfortably located in our borough, at the old Town Hall building now revamped into an hotel. Awarded with a Michelin start in 2011, this might be one of the fanciest and more famous restaurants in East London. This is definitely the place for a romantic or a formal dinner, as they don't allow children under 11 years old.
You can expect to eat a 3, 6 or 9 course set menu of innovative cooking, influenced by the chef and the crew's travels around the world, therefore the name Viajante, a "traveller" in Portuguese.
Among chef Nuno's most appreciated specialities are the Frozen pine nut and squid, Iberico pluma with goat's curd and black quinoa or Cucumber with reduced milk and sorrel.
They also have a vegetarian menu, and a private room for parties ( seating 8-16 ).
