Visitors of all ages are welcome at this award winning and family-friendly art gallery. Housed in a Grade I listed Robert Adam mansion, surrounded by 'Capability' Brown parkland, Compton Verney offers a truly memorable day out. There is an exciting changing programme of exhibitions and permanent collections from around the world including: paintings from the 'Golden Age' of Italian art, Germanic art from 1450-1650; British portraits; one of Europe's finest collections of Chinese bronzes; the UK's largest collection of British Folk Art and a collection of work by textile designer Enid Marx. We have a children's adventure playground, willow tunnels and nature trails plus backpacks to borrow to enable you and your children to explore our collections and grounds through a range of exciting activities. During school holidays we run fun children's art activities. Open until 15 December 2013.
