Festival of Neighbourhood

Central London

Southbank Centre's Festival of Neighbourhood is taking place over four months this summer, celebrating the idea of neighbourhood and what it means to live side by side.

The Southbank Centre's Festival Village has become Beanotown - and the featuring a museum showcasing The Beano's archive.

Kids can get creative with comic drawing sessions lead by The
Beano's expert illustrators and there are demonstrations on the ‘Prank You Very Much' stage, where children can learn the history of The Beano pranks before unleashing them on unsuspecting friends or parents.
The Beano Social Club is hosting fun and games including Dennis the Menace themed table tennis, ‘Table Dennis', and themed food from ‘The Beano Breville Bar'.

Other Festival highlights include Jeppe Hein's Appearing Rooms fountain and the Southbank's ever popular summer beach, this year: Sandy Neighbourhood Beach.
