Park Plaza County Hall's mini-suite style rooms provide handy family amenities such as mini-fridges and microwaves, as well as two wide screen TVs, so while the children watch one of the great children movies, adults don't have to.
For those with older children, Park Plaza County Hall also has 36 adjoining suites meaning that while the young adults have their independence, they are not far away.
This contemporary 4-star design hotel boats 398 state of the art guest rooms, Spectrum Restaurant, with a gastronomic selection of contemporary British cuisine, Spectrum bar, a fitness suite with sauna, steam and treatment rooms, and Wi-Fi Internet throughout.
This hotel has thought things through, as far as families are concerned. The family rooms are like mini-suites, as the living room transforms into the kids room (with a second TV). The sofa becomes a double bed and there's also room for a cot. A family of 5 can fit in, as long as one member is a baby.
The mini kitchen with sink and microwave is really handy, and the bathroom has a big shower plus bath.
The parents' room is separated from the kids room by the corridor/kitchen, which gives a nice bit of distance! They feel a bit like interconnecting rooms - just without the door! Plus there's an impressive view of the London Eye, so you really know you're in London.
I love the fact that in the holidays the hotel lays on movies for the children to watch in the evenings, it makes for a relaxing grown-up meal. And on Saturdays, guest kids can make pizza in the hotel kitchen – a real winner.
Its great to go to a hotel where your kids genuinely feel welcome. I didn't have to shhhh my kids once!
