A historic pub in London's vibrant Covent Garden The Lamb & Flag was a favourite watering hole of Charles Dickens. Retaining its old-world charm, the pub serves great food, excellent real ale and features in practically every London guide book ever written.
In the early 19th century, the Lamb & Flag acquired something of a reputation for bare-knuckle fighting, earning it the nickname 'The Bucket of Blood.' Nowadays it's somewhat more friendly!
The Lamb & Flag prides itself on being one of the most family friendly pubs in Covent Garden - Families with children are especially welcome in the Dryden Room, where we suggest bookings are made in advance.
