The Strand

The Edmond J. Safra Fountain Court is at the heart of Somerset House - a dignified courtyard with a mischievous streak.

The array of jets dance in an orchestrated sequence, with added coloured lighting at night - a refreshing surprise on a warm summer day.

The fountains are normally switched on for spring and summer months, except when events take place in the courtyard which require them to be off. To confirm you can see the fountain displays on your visit please call 020 7845 4600 (Mon-Fri, 10.00-17.00) or email info@somersethouse.org.uk.

Times and prices are subject to change. Contact venue before setting out.

This is a fantastic fountain park tucked away in the heart of London.

Head here early with a picnic and the kids will be happy for hours while the beautiful Somerset House courtyard will be relatively quiet. It fills up as the day goes on, but the crowds are nothing compared to the water fountains down on the Southbank - also fun, but VERY busy at times.

There's also a lovely cafe in one corner with outside tables, where you can relax with a drink or a snack while the kids play.
