‘Radiance' lights the way to Christmas at Fisherton Mill
Christmas is always different at Fisherton Mill, with its sometimes eclectic range of affordable arts and crafts, not to mention the selection of contemporary and unusual gifts, and 2014 is definitely no exception.
November 28th sees the opening of the new ‘Radiance' exhibition. Featuring an array of work by established and new artists, each of whom explores the use of light in their unique way, the exhibition runs until Christmas Eve.
Highlights include pictures by local artist Judy Graham Carter - whose work has featured at the V&A - that clearly show the inspiration she derives from our wonderful Wiltshire countryside.
In striking contrast are the amazing, if meticulous, lightshades of Jennifer Collier who bonds, waxes, traps and stitches to produce unusual paper fabrics that she then uses to ‘remake' household objects.
