An NCT Mother & Baby Yoga Class

The aim of these classes if you to have an enjoyable and relaxing time, whilst improving your physical and emotional wellbeing. I encourage all women to do whatever they need to be comfortable – don't feel your baby has to ‘be good'.
The sessions run for 90 minutes and will usually include some or all of the following:
• structured relaxation - lying, sitting or walking around. You can feed or cuddle your baby at the same time too!
• exercises for mums lying down, sitting, all fours, standing, including moves for mum & baby together
• throughout the session we will take the opportunity to sing some nursery rhymes to engage with your baby
• tummy time for baby
• parachute games/bubbles/scarves/toys
• drinks, biscuits and social time at the end

    I have been attending Cathy's Mother and Baby yoga since my daughter was 6 weeks old, and have loved every minute of it - definitely our favourite time of the week. It's hard to put it into words but Cathy has got these classes spot on - it's such a great combination of being able to start working on your own postnatal recovery (particularly helped me get moving after a long c-section recovery), whilst enjoying special time with your baby, and socialising and meeting other new mums too. The classes are so relaxed and Cathy makes you feel so at ease - it is so nice to go to a class where it doesn't matter if your baby needs feeding, changing, or just wants to be grumpy, and it's amazing how quickly the babies seem to settle in and enjoy it as much as you do! Can't recommend highly enough.

    I've been going to Cathy's mother and baby yoga classes since my little boy was 12 weeks old and we love it! It gives me time to focus on getting my post-baby body back to normal as well as spending quality time with my son. He loves these sessions and gets especially excited during the parachute games at the end! I would thoroughly recommend these classes for anyone who wants a fun and relaxed yoga class for their baby, as well as enjoying some important 'me' time surrounded by other ladies in the same boat.
