    15-Mar-2013 Report

Wolverhamptons West Park is a fine example of a Victorian municipal park.

The park is 17 hectares in area (including its lake) and provides a beautifully landscaped green space within a ten minute walk of Wolverhampton city centre.

West Park is a great venue for a range of activities at low or no cost.

The facilities include - tennis courts, Chalet tearooms, boating lake, children's play area, bowling green (located in Park Crescent), disabled access and Guide dogs welcomed.
Additionally, the magnificent, heated, Victorian conservatory which houses a plant collection gathered from around the world, can be viewed between 10am and 4pm daily, year round.

The park frequently plays host to events, both large and small including weekly summer brass band concerts on the restored bandstand and countless events, walks and activities organised by the on-site Ranger Service.
