Birmingham Museum and Art Gallery (BMAG) first opened in 1885. It's housed in a Grade II listed landmark building and houses over 40 galleries displaying art, social history, archeaology and ethnography.

* The art gallery is famous for its Pre-Raphaelite paintings.
* You can see art and objects spanning seven centuries of World history.
* Recently BMAG became home to the Staffordshire Hoard.
* The Birmingham History collections feature the city's people and history.

There are galleries, events and workshops specifically designed for families and children.

On the third Wednesday of each month, between 1pm and 3pm, you can bring your own object under the spotlight, to let the museum's experts tell you all about it. They will take place in the Industrial Gallery on the 2nd floor.

Times and prices are subject to change. Contact venue before setting out.
