Borka: The Goose with No Feathers -Sat 10 May

disabled access

Borka is a goose – born on the East Anglian marshes with no feathers. But this doesn't stop her trying to learn to fly and swim. But she is abandoned by her family and friends, forcing her into a life of adventures. She is finally rescued and taken to Kew Gardens. The story is about being different – and how this is not such a bad thing.

This new opera for children and their families, performed by eight singers, musicians and puppeteers, is based on the classic, prize-winning, illustrated book by John Burningham.

"It was fantastic! What a lovely way to introduce opera to young children. They loved it!" Teacher, Queensbridge Primary School

Ticket holders can also attend "A Little Bit of Magic" – a FREE tour of the set of English Touring Opera's The Magic Flute and an opportunity to meet the cast and look at costumes and props. Places must be booked in advance.
