    02-Feb-2017 Report

My daughter attended South Darley Pre-School and has since moved onto school. I cannot thank the staff enough in getting her ready for "big school". When we first started, she would not leave my side. But with the encouragement of the staff, this turned around and she became ready to start school. Kirsty and the team are so committed to the children and getting the best out of each and every one of them as individuals. I think this makes South Darley Pre-School very special.

Both my daughters have attended South Darley Pre-school, when the pre-school moved locations and my 2nd daughter was due to start their was no doubt in our minds that she'd follow to the new setting. The staff are so friendly, they really get to know the children, activities are varied and always look fun. We trust the staff that our daughter is in good hands and well looked after whilst we work and at the same time in an environment where she'll learn and develop. Daisy loves coming to Pre-school and has settled in so quickly. Would recommend to all.

    01-Feb-2017 Report

My 2 year old has been going for 3 or 4 months now and loves it here. We are about to increase her time so that she will mostly attend here rather than the nursery she currently goes to. I think she'll be very happy with this, as every day she asks if she's going to pre-school and is always disappointed when I say she's going to nursery.

Although it's hard to be sure what her exact reasoning is, I think it's because pre-school is a bit quieter than nursery which means she gets greater one-to-one attention and care. She also really likes the staff and often talks about them throughout the week.

From my point of view I wouldn't hesitate to recommend South Darley Pre-School. The staff are all experienced, caring and supportive and the location provides an excellent space - both indoor and outdoor - for the children to play and be creative.

Both of my children went to South Darley Pre-School and although quite different children they both settled well and gained enormously from the experience. The staff are relaxed and patient, the atmosphere friendly and welcoming and the place has a home from home feel. Although the location has changed since my children attended the staff remain constant and I would not hesitate in recommending them to anyone.

    29-Jan-2017 Report

South Darley Pre-School has recently moved to my village of Winster from a local village. My 2 year old son started three months ago and has loved every minute. The numbers are small which makes it less daunting and means the children can play in a relatively quiet environment and receive the attention they need. My older child had gone to a much larger nursery in a local town and had cried everyday until we eventually took him out. This was despite the fact he is much more outgoing than my youngest. I which this pre-school had been in the village for him. The staff are friendly and experienced and do a wide range of activities with the children. For those a bit further away in Matlock and surrounding areas it is well worth the travel for a smaller setting that values your individual child and caters to their individual needs.
