Over the summer, Buzzing Torbay and the Great Big Rhinos will be teaching us about Creatures Great and Small. Over Autumn, we investigate Art and Maths, linked to De Morgan's beautiful ceramics. Look out for special Quest with Play Torbay. See our website for regular listings and activities.
Founded in 1196, Torre Abbey tells the story of 800 years of history, from life in a medieval monastery, through its dissolution by Henry VIII, the Spanish Armada, the Napoleonic Wars, and Georgian family life. Over 4 floors, heritage rooms, art exhibitions, interactive displays, ‘talking portraits', videos and games to bring history to life.
Torre Abbey's garden is a fantastic place for children to explore, with medieval knot gardens, lawns, the Palm House, discovery backpacks and outdoor learning activities.
