Crail Harbour Gallery and Tearoom

East Neuk

Our Gallery Tearoom was created in the cellars of St Adrians, a classic pan-tiled 17th century building. Formerly used as storage space, a significant amount of careful restoration was needed to create the current space. Original features have been revealed, such as the flagstone floor, the exposed stone walls, and an old, small window in the wall facing the sea.

Enjoy the finest freshly ground Fairtrade coffee, espresso, latte, mocha, or speciality teas.

Indulge in Fairtrade hot chocolate and whipped cream, or a range of soft drinks, all drinks served with complementary hand-made Scottish tablet.

Lunch with luxury hand-filled Panini, local dressed crab (when available), hot smoked salmon or delicious marinated herring with dill, all served with seasonal dressed salad and sea salt crisps.

Finish off with a selection of hand-made cakes or warmed scones.

    23-Apr-2013 Report

One of the places where we always take visitors, particularly those who haven't been to Fife before. The cafe is set in the idyllic Crail, overlooking the harbour, with a stunning view from the sunny terrace.

The food is delicious, with emphasis on local ingredients. We had the smoked salmon paninis and the brie and cranberry - both were very good, as were the accompanying salads. The children still talk about the sticky toffee pudding that they devoured as dessert.

While the cafe is fabulous, it is not really suitable for buggies (or extremely tall people who may have to duck their heads!). The staff are friendly and welcoming to those with children, but it quite small with no space to park a pram.
