    25-Oct-2013 Report

This is a great place to go if you & your children are interested in art. Hundreds of artists work in the Chocolate Factory Studios and once a year you can go in and see what's going on - fine artists, potters, sculptors, jewellery makers, leather workers etc open their doors and exhibit their work. It's a lovely atmosphere, the smell of mulled wine, the twinkly fairy lights! I had to 'manage the expectations' of my 5 year old last year saying 'it's CALLED the chocolate factory, but there won't be any chocolate!' How wrong I was! There seemed to be delicious treats available in every studio! I run Haringey Literature Live, and as part of the Open Studios this year we're running a writing competition, open to all ages, free to enter. Be inspired by an artwork and write a 200 word max micro story and enter it into our Flash Fiction competition. See 'Other local events' for more details.
