Doctors and midwives now widely promote yoga as an appropriate form of exercise for pregnant women. It provides a safe and effective way to maintain health and fitness during pregnancy as well as help prepare for labour. In this class, the classical yoga postures and breathing practices experienced in general classes are specifically adapted by the teacher to help support the pregnant women physically and mentally, through pregnancy, birth and into motherhood.

An experienced yoga teacher, who has been practising a variety of yoga styles for nearly 20 years, Rebekah Hay-Brown has been teaching yoga to pregnant women since she became pregnant with her first child six years ago. She is certified as a general yoga teacher by Yoga Alliance and The British Wheel of Yoga.

This class is suitable for all stages of pregnancy (from 14 weeks).
