Has your child been excluded for disruptive behaviour?

Did you know persistent disruptive behaviour is the most common reason for all school exclusions?

Persistent disruptive behaviour can be frustrating for parents and teachers. It interrupts children's learning and can lead to permanent exclusion.

If your child's behaviour is getting in the way of their future, and you would like to find out what you can do to manage it better, come along to our parents' forum.

About this forum

In this forum, we will look at applied behaviour analysis (ABA) as a technique to manage challenging behaviour. ABA applies behaviour principles to everyday situations. Its aim is to increase and/or decrease targeted behaviours over a period of time. ABA is used to help children acquire language skills, self-help skills and play skills. The principles are also used to help decrease behaviours such as aggression and self-injury.

A leading ABA expert will explain the science and give tips on using ABA to manage challenging behaviour.

Parents will have the chance to share their experiences.

Who is it for? Parents and carers who are concerned about their child's behaviour.
