Ashtanga Primary Series & Deep Relaxation


This Ashtanga Yoga workshop is designed to create that balance for you by combining a full primary series practice with some more restorative, cooling postures that will lead us into a deep, guided relaxation. It's no secret that I bloody love ashtanga yoga but it's a strong practice and needs to be balanced with some moments of stillness and deep relaxation.

We will follow the traditional ashtanga sequence using a counted breath and minimal instructions to keep a steady rhythm allowing the practice to feel like a moving meditation. Don't worry if you're unsure of the postures though, I'll still be on hand to guide you, offering modifications and physical adjustments.

We will cool down with a range of restorative postures and breathing techniques to calm the body and mind before using a rotation of consciousness (bringing our attention to different parts of the body to help us switch off) to take us into a deep relaxation. You will hopefully leave feeling energised, stretched and totally chilled out.
