This after-school activity, run by Norfolk Record Office and the British Red Cross will give children the opportunity to learn about refugees locally and globally through fun and interactive activities including;

WEAVING: A technique introduced to the area by 'The Strangers', refugees who fled to Norfolk during the sixteenth century. Children will learn about the contributions that the Strangers and other refugees have made to the local area.

BUILDING A REFUGEE CAMP: Children will learn about refugees across the world and the impact of conflict by taking on the role of a Red Cross emergency response worker tasked with building a small scale refugee camp using a variety of different materials
