Set in a stunning location over the River Nidd. Originally built on the site 900 years ago and remaining a Royal Castle to this day, on a visit you can discover the remains of the King's Tower with its dungeon, garderobe and imagine the medieval splendour of the upper chamber which had stained glass windows and rich tapestries. Join a tour to scurry through the sallyport, a secret underground tunnel out of the Castle.
See the rare surviving Tudor Courtroom in the museum, where you can discover Knaresborough's history, dress up and play medieval games.
