Test Run is a new programme at Modern Art Oxford, inviting visitors to actively engage with processes of making and production as they develop and evolve live within the gallery space. In a five-week programme of commissions, events, performance and a symposium, Test Run will encourage visitors to explore the importance of making as a way of thinking about, understanding and shaping the world. Previewing the themes explored in upcoming exhibitions at Modern Art Oxford, Test Run challenges the powerful influence of mass production, media and financial capital on society and communities by offering free access to new skills, knowledge and forms of production that address economic and social ideas that shape the world today. It includes new work The Slumber Room by Ed Fornieles as well as work by David Blandy, Lux , The Gluts, Ralphael Hefti and Jeremy Hutchinson.
