Travel diaries from the first trips to Egypt and Switzerland in the 1860s, thousands of holiday brochures and handbooks dating from as early as 1845 and even a handmade rolling pin! Join the Thomas Cook Archivist Paul Smith to explore the hidden treasures this archive offers, and discover the 175 year history of this remarkable travel company.

Have you got a collection of saved train tickets, restaurant cards, postcards?
The Thomas Cook collection of itineraries, luggage labels and handbills dates back to the 1870s – perfect for anyone with a nostalgic love of travel.

There will be a talk lasting approximately one hour by Archivist Paul Smith, followed by a Q&A session.

You will also have an exclusive opportunity to explore the Thomas Cook Exhibition out of museum usual opening hours
